Bargo, Devine, Cascone excel for Steinert swim teams against Princeton

It was a tough day for the Steinert swim teams, but a good day for several individual Spartans.

The boys dropped a 95-75 decision to Princeton, but only trailed 60-50 entering the final four events. Princeton then took 21 of 30 points in the 200 free relay and 100 back to pull away.

Felipe Bargo put forth a strong effort in defeat, winning the 200 free (1:55.05), 500 free (5:21.03) and swimming in the winning 400 freerelay with Scott Ackerson, Kyle Calamia and Christian Devine (3:37.83). Matt Hall took first in the 100 breast (1:05.60).Devine, Alan Sun, Andrew Norton and Devine all had second-place finishes.

The girls dropped a 122-48 verdict to the Little Tigers but had two standouts in Hannah Devine and Jordyn Cascone. Devine won the 200 IM (2:26.86 and 100 breast (1:20.06) and Cascone won the 50 free (28.42) and 100 free (1:03.28).
