Christine’s Hope For Kids Marks Milestone with YMCA Camps

Christine's hope

With their donation of $25,000 Jean and John Gianacaci have donated $250,000 to YMCAs to date on behalf of Christine’s Hope for Kids Foundation, and they show no signs of stopping.

Hamilton, NJ – June 2018 – With the unofficial start of Summer behind us, families are looking ahead to summer camp and thanks to Jean and John Gianacaci of the Christine’s Hope For Kids Foundation, five Central Jersey YMCAs will have the ability to help families in need of assistance, to partake in this summer rite of passage.

Christine’s Hope was established in 2010, after the Gianacaci’s daughter, Christine was killed in a devastating earthquake while doing mission work in Haiti.  As a tribute to Christine’s generous spirit and to her desire to help underprivileged children, Christine’s Hope For Kids Foundation was born.

Christine’s Hope For Kids also donated camp bags – filled with essentials like sunglasses and a towel, necessities that are often hard to come by for families struggling financially.

Christine’s Hope For Kids donated $5,000 to Camp Mason, Hamilton Area YMCA, Hopewell Valley YMCA, Princeton Family YMCA and Trenton YMCA.  In the eight years since Jean and John have been donating to the YMCAs on behalf of Christine’s Hope For Kid’s, they have donated $250,000 to benefit children who otherwise might not be able to participate in Y summer camp. In addition to the financial support, Christine’s Hope For Kids also donated camp bags – filled with essentials like sunglasses and a towel, necessities that are often hard to come by for families struggling to get by.

“We began to wonder what we had donated to the YMCAs and when we added up it we could hardly believe this accomplishment.”  Struck by the number,  she went on to say, “We’re fortunate to have many donors and volunteers who are the heart of Christine’s Hope For Kids and we’re thrilled that we have had the ability to make such an impact on children at the YMCA.”

Christine’s Hope For Kids supports numerous organizations in their quest for children to just be “kids” and runs numerous fundraisers to support their Foundation.  For more information about book fairs, pajama days, pennies from heaven and more, visit christineshope.org.
