Hamilton Adds Extra Flu Clinic For Residents

Flu

With the ongoing and severe flu activity, Mayor Kelly Yaede and Hamilton’s Health Division have added an extra flu clinic to help more residents avoid contracting influenza.

This extra flu clinic will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018, between the hours of 2 PM and 6 PM at the Hamilton Township Health Division Building (located at 2100 Greenwood Ave., next to the Hamilton Township Municipal Building).

The clinic is FREE and for Hamilton residents only (proof of residency is required).

Children ages three and older may receive vaccinations, but minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  However, parents or guardians may wish to consult their physicians regarding vaccinations.

Flu vaccines are also available for homebound residents, by calling Hamilton’s Division of Health at 609.890.3884 to schedule an appointment.

Additionally, pneumonia vaccinations are available for Hamiltonians ages 65 and older or adults with chronic medical conditions.

“This is the worst flu season in recent years; and we are offering this additional clinic to help even more of our residents avoid the flu,” says Mayor Yaede.

Hamilton Township routinely offers its residents free flu shots during clinics that take place during the fall season.  During the past year, Hamilton’s Health Division administered approximately 2,850 vaccinations.
