This October, Hamilton Township will hold a brand, new two-day community celebration that combines the very best of two previous events.
On Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, Veterans Park will be the site for Hamilton’s first-ever Oktoberfest – combining the very best of Hamilton’s Septemberfest and Fall Harvest.
Saturday’s festivities will begin at 3 PM, with a kick-off concert by the band, The Heartbeats. Following the performance, a fantastic fireworks display will take place. In between, residents will be able to enjoy food vendors and kid activities, such as bounce houses.
Sunday’s activities will take place from 11 AM to 5 PM and include crafters, fall-themed music, entertainment, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, food vendors and more. Alcoholic beverages will not be served at, nor permitted at, this event.
“I think residents will really enjoy this exciting new event, which combines the very best of Septemberfest and Fall Harvest into one fun-filled weekend,” says Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly Yaede. “I hope that our entire community will come out and help us start this new tradition.”
Township officials noted a sense that it was finally time to make some changes to the community’s fall celebrations and to combine Septemberfest and Fall Harvest, which took place within weeks of each other.
Thanks to the support of many local businesses, such as leading event sponsors Hamilton Honda, PNC Bank, Prior Nami Business Systems, Doctors Express and Borden Perlman, the community will be able to enjoy this new, two-day event.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain dates for Oktoberfest would be October 15th and 16th.
