Hamilton Continuing Care will “Toast to Maury” on 10th Anniversary of Maurice T. Perilli Atrium at Hamilton Continuing Care Center

On Thursday, March 30th, Hamilton Continuing Care will honor and celebrate the life of Maurice T. Perilli with a Rededication Ceremony marking the 10-year anniversary of the rehabilitation atrium named in his honor.

Maurice T. Perilli was a well-known and well-respected businessman, philanthropist and former Mayor of Hamilton Township, NJ. In 2007, the rehabilitation atrium was named after Perilli for his continued support, generosity and dedication.

“Maurice Perilli was iconic in this community and a dear friend to so many. This is a great way to continue to honor his legacy”, explained Marge Norton, a longtime friend and coworker serving ton the event committee.

Perilli spent more than five decades in service to his community through politics, Italian-American organizations, banking and charities. He, at different times in his life, owned a newspaper and wrote columns for it; served as Hamilton Township committeeman, mayor and police commissioner; and as safety director for Mercer County Community College. He started his own small bank with a desire to help Italian immigrants achieve their dreams with home and business loans.

Perilli who passed away in 2013, served as a Director of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Thomas Edison State College Foundation, Mercer County 200 Club, and Crime Stoppers. He is also an emeritus director of the Hamilton YMCA. Mr. Perilli received an Honorary Doctorate from Thomas Edison State College in 2001 and an Honorary Doctorate from Rider University in 2002.

The “Toast to Maury” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Hamilton Continuing Care located at 1059 Edinburg Road – Hamilton, NJ 08690.
