The Hamilton NB amazing undefeated run was halted in the 2nd game of pool play in the Babe Ruth World Series.

They fell to the Virginia State champs by a final score of 7 to 5

“We will be fine and getting right back at it tomorrow is a good thing. We hit the ball extremely well today and want to take the positives from the game and move forward”, stated Hamilton NB Manager Jim Petersohn

VA State Champion captured the lead in the first inning on a double in the first inning, scoring one run.  The Hamilton/Northern Babe Ruth All Stars would strike back and score three runs in the third inning on a home run by Gavin Martin.

But the VA State Champs took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning as Hamilton battled back but fell just short.

Petershon added “I’m very proud of boys for fighting back and showing a lot of heart. Hell we were down 4 heading into the top of the 6th and cut it to 2”
