HGSA Hurricanes 8u State Champs seek community help to fund Florida World Series Trip

HGSA Softball

The Hamilton Girls Softball Association Hurricanes 8U All Star team remained undefeated in Babe Ruth play in 2017 by recently winning the Mid-Atlantic Regional championship to earn a berth in the Babe Ruth World Series.  See story on Fish4scores here. The Hamilton Girls Softball Association’s 8U Blue Hurricanes are headed for the big time.

That’s the great news, something that all of us Hamiltonians can be proud of!

But, The World Series will be played July 28-Aug. 5 in Jensen Beach, Florida and the cost associated with a week long trip to fulfill the dreams of these 6, 7 and 8-year-old little ladies is the not so great news.  That means travel, lodging, and meals for 11 families.

HGSA Hamilton Hurricanes

The Hamilton Hurricanes Girls Softball team will hold a series of car washes and has set up a GoFundMe Page to raise money to attend the World Series Softball Games in Florida

The Hurricanes actually qualified to go to the world series last year, but couldn’t attend because of lack of funding.

They are asking for the support of the community to offset the costs to help send the girls to the sunshine state so they can show the entire country what makes Hamilton- America’s Favorite Home Town.

To raise funds for the trip, the team will hold car washes at the Mercerville Fire Company on 5 points in Hamilton Saturday, July 15 from noon to 2 p.m.; and at Texas Roadhouse on Route 33 Saturday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.

They have also set up a GoFund Me Page

Every donation is greatly welcomed and appreciated!
