Apr. 14: As usual, one of the best-kept secrets in Hamilton Township is the Nottingham High track and field team (or most track & field teams, for that matter).

But the Northstars are off and running on what could be another memorable season after sweeping Tuesday’s dual meet over Ewing (79-61) and West Windsor-Plainsboro South (110.5-39.5).

Boaz Madeus was a triple winner on the day, claiming the 400 hurdles and 400 meters while also participating in the winning 4×400 relay.

Jon Torres was a double winner, taking the 1600 and 3200, while Kenley Souffrant won the 800. Franklin Sanchez Godfred Akuffo and freshman Jared Rodriguez rounded out the relay team.

The Northstars also brought home two victories in the jumps, as Romy Abouela won the pole vault and Prosper Nwanko took the triple jump. In the weights, Kier Jenkins won the discus.

The Northstar girls fell to WW-P South, 103-36, but picked up their first win of the season with an 87.7-47.3 win over Ewing.
