Michaela Donnelly scored her 100th carrer goal right after signing to continuing her education and joining the Rowan University’s women lacrosse team.

Her 100th goal came early in the game against Lawrence High school and was immediately met with celebration by her teammates and coaches

Michaela is excited to be taking her game to the collegiate level under Coach Lindsay Delaney.

She chose Rowan because she thought it would be a great fit athletically as well as academically. While at Rowan, she plans to major in biology with hopes to going on to medical school.

Coaches Matt Paglione and Christie Fink had nothing but great things to say about Michaela. She was instrumental in the first win for Nottingham’s  girls lacrosse program during her freshman year. She has demonstated leadership on and off the field and always has a great attitude. She’s a champion for the sport and serves as a mentor to her teammates.

As far as academically, her Science teacher at the Mercer County Health and Science academy, Mr. Pfeffer statesed” I retired to teach high school science in 2009 after a thirty-five year career as a process engineer and research manager/director in the chemical industry. I’ve taught Chemistry and Physics to nearly six hundred students in the past ten years, and Michaela is one of the best. She earned a nearly perfect “A+” average in both Chemistry and Physics, and she is performing equally well in Organic Chemistry this year. Michaela is an exceptional science student because of her ability to grasp new concepts and apply her math skills to solve challenging problems.

In addition to being a talented and well-rounded student, Michaela has other qualities that will contribute to her success in the future. She is highly motivated and hard working student with outstanding study skills. She is very mature and is “laser focused” on achieving whatever goal she chooses to pursue. Michaela has a terrific personality and excellent communication skills. I’m absolutely certain that she will succeed in both college and a future medical career”.
