Nottingham grad Stephen Adams earns Player of the Week honor at Delaware Valley

Sep. 30: Nottingham graduate Stephen Adams, a senior on the Delaware Valley University football team, earned the Middle Atlantic Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his work on Saturday.

In the 20/22-ranked Aggies come-from-behind, 31-20 victory at Stevenson in a battle of the two top teams in the MAC preseason poll, Adams leg played a pivotal role. He punted six times for a 46.8 yard average and put four kicks inside the 20-yard line to continually change field position.

Adams has punted 41 times this year for a 41.05 average in helping the Aggies to a 4-1 record.

An All-American last year, Adams unloaded a 64-yard bomb that gave Stevens possession at their 4-yard line. In the fourth quarter, he placed a punt on the 16 and when Stevens fumbled on its first possession DelVal capitalized with a score to take control, 28-20.
