Quick Guide to The Great American Eclipse 2017 for Hamiltonians

Solar Eclipse 2017 hamilton nj

The weather for the Great American Solar Eclipse looks to have worked out for those in the Mercer County, NJ vicinity.

The moon’s shadow will travel from the West Coast to the East Coast of the United States with only a narrow zone, called the path of totality, experiencing a total solar eclipse.

In this path, the moon will block out the sun completely for less than three minutes, so being in the path at the correct time is extremely important.

Starting around 1:15 p.m. E.D.T., a 70-mile-wide shadow cast by the moon will make landfall in Oregon and finish its path in South Carolina at around 2:49 p.m. E.D.T.

In New Jersey, the eclipse will begin at 1:22 p.m., reach is maximum obscuration (about 75 percent of the sun will be covered) at 2:45 p.m. and come to an end around 4 p.m.

There will be multiple websites and TV coverage for you to safely watch the event.  http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/watch-solar-eclipse-tv-online-49314088
