The first Patriot Games baseball showdown will be held at Robert DeMeo Field in Veterans Park on Wednesday night when ancient rivals Hamilton and Steinert do battle.

Both teams will take batting practice on the field – open to the public – with Hamilton hitting at 5:15 and Steinert at 5:50. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:10 p.m.

The Chuck Wagon will be on hand to sell delectable food, and T-shirts will be sold to benefit the Hamilton Township Patriot Committee.

The original Patriot Games opener between Nottingham and Hamilton was postponed due to cold weather and will be made up on Tuesday, May 1.
