TGIF: Photos tell the tale as all three township football teams fly high on Friday

Steinert’s Joe Swindasz gets ready to haul in one of his three touchdown catches from Nick Wright on Friday night as the Spartans took a 48-14 victory over West Windsor-Plainsboro under the lights. It was the Spartans first-ever home win in a night game, as they fell to St. Anthony’s in 1975 and Nottingham last year.

It was the end of a perfect 3-0 day for township teams, as Nottingham took a 26-24 win over Allentown in a huge game for state playoff power points, and Hamilton took a 14-0 win over Lawrence to win the WJFL Valley Division title. Talk about a TGIF Day!
