Video: Brandon Raba, Marc Kauffman discuss Nottingham’s strong start

Jan. 17: After suffering some growing pains with a young team last year, the Nottingham High basketball team is back to playing solid ball and winning games this season.

Nottingham displayed its efficient teamwork once again tonight en route to an 89-73 victory at Trenton High, putting the Northstars record at 9-4 after winning for the eighth time in nine games.

The Stars led from wire to wire, opening their biggest advantage at 56-31 in the third quarter. Trenton got within 12 only to see Nottingham respond with another run. The game was typical of how the Northstars have been playing, as they constantly worked the ball around for a good shot. The result was countless lay-ups and 37-for-67 shooting from the field.

Check out the above video as Marc Kauffman, who had 12 rebounds and a career-high 26 points, and Brandon Raba, who had 22 points, talk about Kauffman’s strong play and Nottingham’s successful start.
