Sep. 14: Milo McGuire’s first official win as Nottingham head football coach will be remembered for a second-half explosion and an eye-popping game sealing win.
McGuire, who took over Jon Adams this year, watched his Northstars rally for a 26-12 win over visiting Steinert in the Battle of Klockner Road.
After being held to 69 rushing yards in the first half, Nottingham ran for 202 in the second, as Marc Kauffman rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and Ja’ier Nelson ran for 115 yards and a TD. Kauffman also threw a 39-yard TD pass to Chris Williams on a fake punt with just 26 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
