Video: Springett discusses Broad Street Park’s hot start and ability to pressure defenses with the running game

In the first big showdown of the year in the Mercer County American Legion League, Broad Street Park won a battle of unbeatens by taking a 6-1 win over Hamilton Post 31.

Nick Diaz improved to 2-0 by throwing a five-hitter with a career-high 11 strikeouts. He did not allow an earned run.

Tyler Springett paced the offense with a triple, single, RBI, two stolen bases and three runs scored, while David Zamora and Mason Fitzpatrick had RBI doubles and Connor Luckie had two hits.
