The practice of acupuncture and Chinese medicine may be over 2500 years old, but a fresh new face is joining the team at Hamilton West Windsor Acupuncture. Dr. Alexandra Stueber, DACM, LAc, has officially joined the practice established by her father a generation ago.

Dr. Stueber began studying acupuncture, herbs, and Chinese medicine under the tutelage of her father, Dr. Charles Stueber, at the age of two. She went on to earn two Bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s degree, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Dr. Stueber holds National Board Certifications in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Bio-Medicine (Regular American Medicine). She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania but chose to return to her roots and join her father, Dr. Charlie Stueber’s, thriving practice.

Once known by long-time area residents as the “Log Cabin” on Route 33, Hamilton West Windsor Acupuncture is now one of the largest Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine practices in the country. Nearly 150 patients each week seek out the assistance of Dr. Stueber and her father to treat a variety of conditions including back and neck pain, anxiety and depression, digestive health, and stress and insomnia. Patients seeking help with pain management make up over 60% of the practice, and Acupuncture is often included in treatment plans for patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease. Because of the wide array of conditions proven to be treatable by Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, insurance companies are increasingly expanding coverage to include Acupuncture among their list of covered services.

“I am thrilled to join my father’s practice as a second-generation Acupuncturist to expand our capacity to serve the people of Mercer County,” said Dr. Alex Stueber. “Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have been helping people live healthier, pain-free lives for thousands of years. I am looking forward to meeting new patients and helping them identify their path to wellness.”
