Fish4Scores Returns

OK folks, I’ve got some news for you.

First off, Hamilton Pulse/Hamiltonian owner/publisher Mike Sabo and I are teaming up and working together to bring back Fish4scores. But be advised, this is not the Fish4scores you are used to.

Due to lack of manpower, which is why I stopped doing the site last winter, we will not be posting the scores of every Hamilton Township high school sports event every day. . . at least not at the start. That proved to be too overwhelming for two guys, and in this venture I am just one guy handling editorial content.

But we will try to fill the void in weekly Hamilton coverage by doing features on township athletes; occasional round-ups on the various sports; coverage of big games and things of that nature. If things go well, we will try to re-institute the youth sports results, but for now that is somewhere in the future. We will also bring back the Fish4scores Athlete of the Week, complete with t-shirts and  a gift card thanks to the continued support from our sponsor Rossi’s Bar and Grill.

We are treating this as a start-up operation and Mike and his staff will look to sell ads that will steadily improve the product as time goes on.

Don’t expect miracles from us, but understand we are trying to bring this back slowly and give Hamilton Township the sports coverage it deserves on a more steady basis.

The other bit of news is that I am returning to The Hamiltonian to write several stories an issue, which will also be featured on Fish4scores after they appear in the paper. Included on Fish4scores will be a list of each of the 239 locations where you can pick up a free Hamiltonian.

So wish us luck and lend us your support, as the more we can do, the better it is for you!

About The Author

Rich Fisher has been around the Hamilton Township sports scene for so long that he actually got Rich Giallella’s autograph when Giallella was still a player! Proud product of Hamilton YMCA and Lou Gehrig baseball leagues and former teammate of Jim Maher on a very average Barton & Cooney rec basketball team, Fish graduated from Nottingham Junior High and Steinert High school and has covered township sports since 1980. His goal in life is to convince Maria Prato that Jersey tomatoes are at least 100 times better than California tomatoes.
