MERCER COUNTY TO HONOR LOCAL WOMEN FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICE

Tickets are on sale for the 2017 Mercer County Woman of Achievement Awards, sponsored by the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women. This year’s celebration will be Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. at Mercer Oaks Clubhouse, 725 Village Road West, West Windsor.

Each year, Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the County’s Commission on the Status of Women select the honorees, including the Mercer County Young Woman of Achievement for a resident under 18 years old, based on their contributions to the Mercer County community through volunteer work.

“Narrowing down our list of nominees in Mercer County gets more difficult because of the sheer number of women whose volunteer work and accomplishments stand out,” said Mr. Hughes. “As County Executive, it is my pleasure to honor each of this year’s recipients and I thank them for all the ways in which they enrich the Mercer County community.”
