Video-Nottingham Defense stifles Hamilton West

The Nottingham football team put on an outstanding defensive effort along with touchdowns from four different players, as the Northstars took a 27-0 victory at Hamilton West Saturday to win their third straight Joe Logue Trophy and eighth in the past nine years.

Named after the late Trentonian sports writer, the Logue Trophy is awarded for Hamilton Township supremacy. Nottingham (5-1) has beaten both Steinert and Hamilton (3-2) this year; rendering the Thanksgiving game a battle for second place.

Rich Fisher sat down to chat with Nottingham football linebacker Jerry Andaluz and Diontae Nicholson who plays on both sides of the ball as a running back and linebacker.

Proud product of Hamilton YMCA and Lou Gehrig baseball leagues and former teammate of Jim Maher on a very average Barton & Cooney rec basketball team, Fish graduated from Nottingham Junior High and Steinert High school and has covered township sports since 1980.
